If I could give 10 star for customer service , I totally would ! Nicolle , our server , was not only super friendly , patient ( and not lots of people are with how picky I am lol ) , helpful , but also very knowledgable about the foods and drinks on the menu ! She was on top of her game , and that is the most important in my eyes ! Order was delivered quickly ! Food was really really good and drinks ? Oh man, my mojito was strong! But that's a good thing right ? I would totally recommend this place to people , and I will be more happy to take there my family from back home ( Poland) when they visit , so they can experience the amazing customer service we did ! Also, need to try their happy hours Mon thru Fri 4pm - 7pm next time we go !

Nice atmosphere, being that it was my first time I am not impressed. The menu does not have a ton of options and is a bit overpriced. I ordered the spinach artichoke and the artichoke was overly huge, for the main dish I ordered baked mac n cheese, it has been nearly 40 mins and still no main course meal. For a restaurant so nice I expected a lot more, don't think I will return here again! In the end we waited 1hr and 20 mins for food and our waitress answer when asked about slow service was its Tuesday($5 burgers) try coming on another day, she only apologized when the bill came at the end to try and get a good tip!

Average restaurant among a fairly sterile food scene along Powers Blvd. For some reason I had lofty visions of this restaurant before visiting. I was expecting an intimate restaurant with an upscale, selective, creative menu. Instead this restaurant and bar were crowded and about the size of The Cheesecake Factory. Bar Louie appears to be a themed restaurant, but I can't quite figure out what the theme is. I'm guessing a little Creole? Haunted New Orleans? Servers wore a mishmash of black: some had on black club wear, stretchy dresses, leggings, off shoulder tops..a couple others were in floor length black prom dresses. It was strange. The menu was as expected for a restaurant of this scale with variations on burgers, salads and standard appetizer fare (like calamari, wings and spinach dip). There were some other entrees on the menu but none were memorable enough to mention here. The cocktail menu was pretty extensive and during happy hour the martinis were just $5.25. If you're wanting a place to meet someone before or after a movie, Bar Louie is a safe pick, though not particularly crave-worthy.

A great place to relax and have a meal plus good drinks. The view and patio are awesome. They have a great menu and happy hour. The staff is very friendly also.

Great atmosphere along with food and beverages. However, customer service can improve.

Consistently inconsistent!! Like many others have said.... Great new place on the northeast side of the springs but just like the other bar louies I have visited the service is mediocre at best. And seriously we would never choose to drink there outside happy hour but it's way too overpriced and it seems when I order martinis they never come the same twice! I will say CHARLES is a fantastic bartender that we have gotten to know but if he isn't working.... Your screwed. The last time we visited... It took 7 minutes to even be greeted....on a Friday...during happy hour. Two visible bartenders were cutting limes and seemingly no one was really helping guests. One of them, poor girl, had clearly slicwd open her finger and was visibly in pain and quite pale. She was the most helpful for being they injured one. Then when I did order my rat pack had TWO fruit flies in a very visibly dirty glass with lipstick on the rim. Kinda yucky. The replacement wasn't dirty as requested so I just drank it.... Then when I ordered another it was terrible and tasted like a glass of straight gin....ugh. We won't stop coming because happy hour is very reasonable but we just come to expect poor service and inconsistency.

Aside from the waitress spilling a glass of water down my mother in laws back I thought the food was spectacular and the Bloody Mary was quite tasty! The atmosphere was amazing and not at all what I was expecting. Seemed really laid back and a nice place to just hang out. Would love to come back on a nice day and enjoy some drinks on their patios.

Been twice. Thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt for the 2nd time. Both visits were terrible. Service was slow and food prices were very high for mediocre quality.

Imagine this: you're sitting at the bar of what appears to be a fairly up-scalish establishment for your area, it's a Thursday evening and there are 8 other people sitting at the bar, all of them in pairs. You proceed to wait 10 minutes for a bartender to say a word to you because she is too busy flirting with the two hot guys in front of her at the register or putting away glasses, even though she has made eye contact with you 4 times but does not act as though she actually acknowledges your existence. This my friends, sums up Bar Louie. Like other yelpers, I want to like this place. The atmosphere is modern and sleek. It reeks of cool but falls short. It's over priced and the service is even worse than a dive bar where at least the prices are reasonable. And this isn't my first experience like this. I mean seriously folks, WTF?! Why can't there be a place on the east side that's reasonably priced, modern decor and has decent food and drink. Come on, get it together.

Text CSP to 52051 to get a free appetizer. It might take 24 hours to complete the promotion so plan head ;-)

Pros: - The Atmosphere: as many other reviewers have mentioned, Bar Louie just feels cool. The decor is hip, and they have two outdoor seating areas. It sort of reminds me of the upstairs of Blondies, only East of Powers. This is a super nice addition to this side of town and would make a fun stop either before or after seeing a movie at the theater next door. - The Service: our server was was super friendly, and helpful in picking out my food. - They have a nice array of beers on tap, and you can get a short or regular beer. I *love* when places offer shorts. Bonus: our beers came in nice frosty glasses. Neutral: - The menu: nothing to write home about, just the same standard upscale bar fare you'll see at numerous other eateries. Cons: - The food: I got the Stockyard burger and ordered it medium. I realize pulling off a true medium burger is difficult - I almost never get it when I order it - but if this was their medium I would hate to see what medium-well looks like. My fries were also overcooked to the point that half of the were just shells of fries and the other half were a little chewy. My husband had the loaded tots, though, and those were good. - The tab: two burgers and two short beers, and our tab was about $36 before tip. This would be worth it if the food were amazing or the portions gigantic to make up for lackluster food, but it is a pricey tab for mediocrity. I don't expect they'll lower their prices but I think bringing their food game up a notch may be a fairly easy fix. Otherwise, Bar Louie is a nice addition to the East side.

When bar louie first opened i loved it ,but the last few times I've been ,not so great! Me and my husband took family from out of town and our nieces pasta dish came out complety cold.the following time went with friends my food came out cold and a friends fries were burnt. Went back to give it one last chance for drinks and my glass was complety dirty and had dried fruit (strawberries) on the outside and insidr of glass .haven't been back since

My husband and I came here on 4/24/15: We walked in around 7pm and the place was hopping! We scanned the bar and got lucky as two ppl were closing out their tabs. We sat at the bar as all of the tables in the bar section are reserved. The bar was packed as I've mentioned, I watched all 3 bartenders look at us but never say hello. 10 mins pass and no one came over to ask us what we'd like. Another couple sat down 2 spots away from us and they were immediately greeted and made drinks. At this point my husband put his hand in the air and waved the bartender down. A girl with shoulder length straight black hair helped us and was very nice and professional. After she took our drink order and walked away the other 2 bartenders each asked us if we would like to order. There is definitely a lack of organization/communication behind this bar. We did not order food here so I can't comment on that.

This place, is amazing. Its unlike anything Colorado Springs has, so it's a welcome change. Its absolutely massive, and there is so many different places to sit. A bar so big I'm sure it can easily if 50 people, Casual seating in couches outside on the small patio, or you can go to the other outdoor patio and have larger groups, or a private room if you want more intimate. They can open the garage door like windows so you have a fresh breeze overlooking the grassy area of the shopping center, It's like a few of the downtown Denver restaurants but is CS. The drinks are great (THEY HAVE NITRO ON TAP!) the menu is great. Just go here to have a great time. It's a must go to spot.

Excellent service on a slow Wednesday night. Decent drinks selection, including a healthy menu of craft beers, wines, and cocktails like mojitos and others. Any place that serves well-made fish and chips is alright in my book, and this particular food quality was high, better than most pubs I've been to, albeit it's not exactly a five-star restaurant and it's not meant to be either. Great, attentive service staff! Catered extremely well to a group of seven in this instance. Very nice ambiance without excessive background noise or obnoxiously loud music. I was also very happy to see it conveniently located in a shopping center, meaning it's accessible and not at all exclusive - it's next to a Dick's Sporting Goods, for example. It's also close to both the airport and Peterson AFB.

OK, I bet this place differs from time and day. We went early before a movie on a Saturday. I really have no major complaints. My wife's burger was a monster. My BLTT was filling and good. The loaded tator tots, well they were fine but perhaps the only slacker. The cocktails were well made and delish. We are picky on them. Wifey had the Effen (cucumber martini) which I tasted and had once before there. I love 'em and I am real choosy on martinis. I had an old fashioned which is not my norm. It was quite good. Cheap, nope. Convenient, yup. Waitress was super nice. Told us about the $5 burger night and stuff like that though we had been there for a happy hour. I suspect perhaps when it's swamped it's a different world. I think you may need to be here when it's slow. BTW- those flatbreads look overpriced knowing what is usually comprises a flatbread. The burgers were big and my sandwich was a good size. I can't vouch for more impressive entrees but I am getting sandwich/burgers are the way to go. Drinks were good. Again, it's not a give away but our drinks were good, food was good, and a really nice waitress. I would stick with when I suspect it would be slow. That's my gut take. I am not going to give a bad review when we had a good experience. The drink sizes were nice and they were decent liquors so don't expect a $5 drink except perhaps at happy hour. No offence Wobbly, it's been a long time but after my bad experience there on a DEAD day I won't be back. BTW, it was empty when we left our movie that day. No offense but Bar Louie may be another unneeded chain (I do detest chains in general) on Powers, we enjoyed our lunch and our cocktails before our movie. On a mellow day.

A group of us came here for dinner tonight to catch up and introduce new family members. It was a very mediocre experience due to poor service and an inattentive waitress. We came towards the end of happy hour and got a round of drinks and apps. The bar was really slow and backed up so the apps came out first, which was fine, but we were never offered water or any other beverages. Apps were pretty good. Drinks finally came out about 20 minutes after we ordered and they were well made and tasty. We stayed to eat dinner, so placed our order and several members of our party requested water as well. The water never came and after waiting 30 minutes (during which time the waitress came back once but ignored my request again), so I went to the bar to get a pitcher and several glasses. The bartender was apologetic and very friendly and made sure to get us the much needed agua. Food came and it was good, if a bit heavy. Only one person ordered a second drink because the waitress never asked if anyone would like one and tended to rush off before we could ask. I'd go back but would sit in the bar area and not the dining room where it seems you get forgotten.

Met here with some friends for dinner while traveling. We had decent service...a little slow at first, but the waitstaff friendless compensated, and they caught up and sped up. The happy hour specials are great...$3.25 Guinness and on Tuesday its $5 burgers. The Louie Burger is worth having. Another advantage is its right next door to the movie theater, so a good meal and good beer before a good movie. Definitely a come back to place.
(4)Jerry H.
We've been here three times, and all three have been very positive. We've heard that Tuesday $5 burger night is an absolute zoo, so we probably wouldn't go then. Every bit of food we've had here has been excellent. We've tried burgers, flatbreads, panko fish skewers, fish and chips...all very good. The bartenders and servers work hard and fast. The tables are spaced well apart, so you don't feel over-crowded. They have two outdoor patios which have plenty of tables and deck heaters. The decor is very modern and attractive. My only knock on the place is the hurricane-force cold air blowing out of the A/C ducts. I mean, it blew the napkins off of our table. That tends to cool off your food rather quickly. If not for that, this place would get five stars.
(4)Lauren W.
Great drinks, great atmosphere and great food! Highly recommend the "Chicago Stockyard" burger. Yuuuuuuuum!!! Only complaint.. AC was blasting. Burrrrrr. Temp was 11* outside. We asked to turn off the 'wind' blowing down on us, but it never happened. Will be back. Hopefully to a warmer table
(4)Tiffany M.
Loved the atmosphere, sexy, cool, chic! Nick was our waiter and his sense of humor was perfect for our group. He recommended excellent martinis and the blue Louie burger is delicious with a kick to it! Came for the first time tonight for a friend's bday/happy hour. Can't wait to come back again!
(5)Michael W.
Great place for happy hour! Tried out Bar Louie last week and enjoyed the experience. We sat on the bar side and decided to try out their happy hour. Half price apps and 3 dollar beers, yes please. We had a few martinis and tried out the buffalo chicken flat bread and spinach artichoke dip. All the apps were fresh, staying true to their scratch kitchen motto. Drinks were well made and the service was good. I love how close it is to the movie theater, as this could serve as a pregame location. The drinks after happy hour are a little expensive, but that comes with the territory. Overall enjoyed Bar Louie and would definitely be back to try out some of the other selections.
(4)Terry B.
Great food and drink, but horrible, pretentious host who would not seat us even though there were at least 10 open tables. A long wait is not the same as a great restaurant.
(2)Andrew C.
This is not a 4-star restaurant, but it is a 4-star bar, so I will focus primarily on that. Colorado Springs does not have many "trendy" bars in my opinion, and this has great potential. Located in the second floor adjacent to the IMAX theater, you stand to get some nice views while you hang at the bar. The atmosphere and decorations remind me of hip, patio bars in Dallas. (If that means something to you, so much the better!) This is going to be a great place to hang out for a drink in the summer, when you can really take advantage of their two patios, and the open air section of the main bar (via garage style doors). I think they may have heaters and fire pits for cool nights as well. Parking for this area has always been a hassle, and I suspect it will only get worse. But again, plan ahead, have a good attitude, and pick a temperate night to have a good time at Bar Louie.

The Service - our service was excellent. I felt that our server was very attentive and our food was timed correctly. I have no complaints with our server. The Food - pretty bad. We had the chicken parm sliders and the chicken was slimey and fatty and overall soggy. The meatballs were flavorless, although there was a lot to them. We also got a sandwich and it was ok. Not bad, not good, just ok. The tater tots were good. I would recommend just drinking wine and beer here. The Bar - expensive for colorado springs so I would recommend going during happy hour only. We went on a Saturday, late afternoon, when it was not that busy. The bar was incredibly slow the entire time. We ordered martinis and both were too sweet and not very well made. Our appetizer of the chicken parm sliders came out before our martinis. We switched to beer and wine and that still took forever for each round. The Atmosphere - the atmosphere is very cool. It does have a trendy bar feel, although people brought their kids. Why are you bringing kids/babies to a bar? Poor decision on their part. The bar is on a second story that overlooks the theater area, which has pretty lights right now. I think the atmosphere is what pulls Bar Louie together, although the drink times and food will have to improve.

I've been here twice now and had the same expierence both times. SLOW service, being in the industry myself, I'm very understanding but the service time is ridiculous here which is weird seeing as how they have tons of staff around. They must have spent all the money on decor instead of staff training. Both times I have got cold food and the taste was underwelming for what you'd expect looking at the place. After sitting with empty drinks our entire meal it took almost 20mins to find our server to tab us out, we asked 3 other servers if they could tab us out as we had to go, but they refused. Skip this cooperate chain and hit the localy owned Wobbly Olive martini bar next door.
(2)James W.
Nothing special. Drinks took longer than they should have and didn't receive water we ordered. Probably come back for burger special.
(3)Laurie A.
We just walked out after waiting for service for quite a while. We have returned many times, after receiving bad service, in hopes it would get better. We want to like this place so badly! Such a great atmosphere! Wish the service was better.
(1)Joe C.
Food was meh, bar service was better. I honestly am only giving them a 2 because of terrible customer service I got. I had left my card the night before so I came in the next afternoon and it SERIOUSLY took 30 minutes for them to get my card from the safe. Now they had no idea I worked in the restaurant business so I knew they weren't busy. There were no drink tickets coming from the well so I knew it wasn't that and there were only two people at the bar top. The night crew was legit but that daytime crew was off on that day. The bald headed old guy sucked !!!! I don't care if he's the owner that guy was hella lame
(2)Laura C.
The atmosphere is great, a very Denver style type establishment. Whatever you do...stay away from the red headed bartender, she's not happy with her job, actually the whole bar staff is pretty bad.
(1)Ira R.
Me and my boyfriend came in here for a weekday dinner. The place wasn't busy at all, and we have to sit on our own which is fine. I ordered their shrimp lettuce wrap and my boyfriend ordered their chicken burger. My wrap comes with typical lettuces and a bowl of shrimp with runny sauce. It was too sweet that I couldn't finish the whole thing. It was kinda disgusting. My boyfriend's fries was cold, and his burger was average. The server was really friendly, and the only reason why I'm giving this place a 3-star.
(3)Elaine M.
One of the worst service experiences I have ever had. Two friends and I dropped by for drinks at around 3:00 (a glass of wine, one club soda and a non- alcohlic mixed drink). There were literally 5 other people at the restaurant. A half hour had gone by and no drinks. I went inside and the waitress was flabergasted that we hadn't gotten our drinks (but she hadn't been outside to even check on us in a half hour). Finally the drinks came out after another 10 minutes. Food might be ok but we didn't even want to know how long that would take!
(1)Carroll H.
NEW and amazing. Great views of the plaza when sitting on patio, service has been 10 stars each time we have visited. Drinks are generous pours and refilled instantly. 5 dollar Tuesdays linked with 5 dollar movie night next door makes great date night for those on a budget. Thrilled with our neighborhood's new addition!!!
(5)David L.
Every drink I tried during my visit was great! The server was attentive, polite, friendly, funny and helpful! It's a nice atmosphere and will definitely be back.
(4)Batgirl R.
I have been twice so far since it opened...and each time was super delicious!! The drinks are definitely a generous pour and averagely priced. The service was great-Josh was fantastic. It's extremely loud on Friday and Saturday night to the point where you can't hear the person sitting next to you but to be expected in a "bar". I would add more seating because it's usually a 25-35 minute wait but other than that, awesome place!!! Going to put the Wobbly Olive out of business.
(5)Justin B.
Came here to get a bite before me and my 8year old went a saw a movie figuring since its 2 steps away from the theatre it would be a good choice. And overall yes. However for me and my 8 year old who got some chicken fingers and fries and me getting some chips and several dips it came out to right about 27 bucks. A little steep. But good for the purpose. Service was good. Don't think I'll b coming back with my kid again. Maybe with some friends with plans to go broke lol
(4)Jan Q.
I've been here twice since its opening. Both times the service and the food was consistently good. It's a bit pricey for the mediocre cocktails, about 9.50 for any cocktail. I've had the mule, Manhattan, and smores martini. All were fine if they were a couple bucks cheaper. The loaded tots are pretty good with pickled peppers and cheese on them. Tuesdays is 5 bucks for any burger, which is definitely worth it. One of the servers said they make a lot of the food in house, which with the ranch you can definitely tell... It's delicious. This place would be great for happy hour in the summer time since many of the Windows are garage doors that can open up and they have a great patio that has a gorgeous view of pikes peak. A bit pricey for an up scale bar but but if they can really nail down the cocktails, it would be worth it.
(4)JAG W.
I really want to like this bar. It provides a great option for a more upscale atmosphere for east side drinking and dining in the springs, especially if you aren't in the mood for beer. I have been here a couple of times now and each time I am more disappointed. The hostesses never act glad to see you and we have had to ask them for a place to sit each time we have walked in. We had the burger night once and the food was pretty good besides the fact our server forgot to put in our order. Recently we went back for apps and were not impressed at all. The food was cold and lacked flavor. As a table we ordered many of the martinis and didn't find one that was good or even resembled the description on the menu. I wish this place would step it up because the location and concept have so much potential.
(2)Doug B.
Quickly became my favorite bar and restaurant. Food is amazing and drinks/service very standard.
(5)Erik D.
Walking into the building the first impression is impressive. Service was horrible! The bartender was disrespectful and condescending. I had an issue with my drink and the price of my drinks and when addressing this issue with our bartender we where answered with a roll of the eyes and a horrible half assed response that didn't make sense. (The prices are the same no matter what location) I'm well aware that pricing is dictated by the retail price of the ingredients. I wouldn't recommend anyone visit especially not with John as a bartender!
(1)Rob W.
Consider taking a pass on this place. We've been twice now, both times a disappointment. We first ordered drinks and they carded us. That might be amusing, but we are in our 60s and really, that's just insulting. If they had spent as much time looking after us as they did carding the silver-hairs, the experience might have been better. I ordered a martini that came in a warm glass (though the drink itself was cold, it was busy warming up from the glass), others at the table ordered chardonnay that wasn't much. None of us finished our drinks. One of us ordered a burger, which came out dry, on a dry bun. I ordered the mac and cheese with fried chicken. The mac and cheese tasted bland, and the fried chicken turned out to be small chicken strips that looked like they came out of a bag from Sam's Club, except they were smaller. The menu made it seem like real fried chicken was to be served, not a few processed Tyson chicken strips. The toast that came with the mac and cheese was so hard it could drive a nail. In fact, I did try to drive the sharp toothpick from the martini through it, but that only caused to toast to break like porcelain. The third member of our party ordered the tacos, which he said were meh. The previous time we had ordered fish and chips and those were a disappointment The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, but the food just wasn't there. It was as if the placed was overdressed for the occasion: great atmosphere, great decor, bad bland food. I don't get it. Pricing? Considering that the food tasted like it was microwaved from a package, I suppose it was expensive.
(1)Heather S.
Great view of the peak and nice breeze... As for service, eh. We were shown the menu and how to look at it...ordered a white wine sangria. Which tasted like a sugar cube. Watching the bartender make it I should have known....a pitcher equated to 2 shots of vodka, a 7oz pour of wine, 2-3 oz of sugar syrup, some strawberries and lemons topped with soda fountain lemonade! No one checked on us until we paid. When asked how we liked it we said it was very sweet. I mentioned I wouldn't call it a sangria the bartender, name on ticket, Tilda said well it is wine and liquor...well thank you for that....but it wouldn't be a sangria like I have ever ordered nor made, a fruit infused wine beverage...and to boot as I wrote this with a mule glass in hand. Making a beverage for another patron. Tilda sneezed into her hand, without washing she picked up a liquor bottle and finished making the drink...bring your own anti-bacterial. Perhaps if the staff spent as much time on guests drinks as they do on their own iced coffees we would be impressed..Bar Louie Springs don't waste your time or money.
(1)Kimberly L.
Place has a really good happy hour. I wasn't crazy about the spinach and artichoke dip but the flat breads are great. The place also has a pretty good atmosphere.
(4)Mekailah H.
Unfortunately I did not have a very good experience tonight. The service was disappointing , no one greeted us coming or leaving the restaurant. We sat at the bar and the bartender was not friendly at all. As a bartender you have to be polite and very social. He was not friendly at all. I had the feeling that we were a burden to him and didn't care about our experience. My boyfriends burger took over twenty minutes to come to our table with no update. Our server Kyle? Was about the only good part of our experience. He was polite and cared to our needs after we moved away from the bar which I preferred. Thank you Kyle Sorry Bar Louie
(2)Trish T.
I definitely get excited when something new comes into this side of town...especially one that isn't a gas station or a western store. It's just nice to have a trendy bar with a nice atmosphere. WIth that said, keep in mind that my four stars is complementing Bar Louie as a bar, not a restaurant. I've been here twice, we've ordered the shrimp app, chicken verde flatbread, and a couple sandwiches. They were just ok....which was surprising that someone can mess up on flatbread. I have yet to try their burgers though-which I look forward to on "Burger Tuesdays." On Thursday nights, they have live blues/jazz-been to once and the duo from Denver were awesome.
(4)Katie G.
My first time here and likely my last. I will say they have a great draft beer selection and the food is decent but service is shit. Showed up at 7:55, got seated at 8:15 which is a normal wait time. Arrived at the front and they didn't have a table ready, still not a big deal. After being seated it was a good 20 plus minutes before our server Heather even greeted us. We even had another waitress come to check on us before we saw our server. Having already decided on food and drinks, she took the two seconds to barely grab our drink orders and take off again. Over thirty minutes and one check up on us we got our beers... Draft beers, from the bar 30 feet from our table. She took our order and in the thirty minutes it took to get our food, now after 9 pm and other sections being closed down and cleaned, she came by once to ask if we'd like another round. She asked again when our food came out, too irritated to give any more of money to a place with such terrible service we declined and requested our check. The folks who were seated immediately before us in another section left as our food was coming out. The table next to us, sat easily 10-15 minutes after we were, had food and drinks long before we did. I have to say, I've heard good reviews but the service we received and the lack of care was complete trash. We missed our movie that we had planned to see right next door due to the sluggish service and only received ample visits from our server after we requested our check. I understand poor service if it's busy, but on a Tuesday night after 8:30 when all other sections are being closed down, this was just absolute carelessness.

Late post, but the atmosphere is good. The drinks are awesome, but however.... The food is terrible. The calamari was plain and my chicken wings weren't even fried or hot! The wings were cold and soggy. For a well known bar, I was very disappointed with the food. The service was mediocre. It took our waitress approximately 15 minutes to come to our table and ask us if we wanted anything, took another 20 minutes for us to get our drinks, and about 45 minutes to get two appetizers. I give this place a 3/5 and that's just being nice
(3)Charles F.
Although the atmosphere is fun and exciting, the service and food were lacking the same qualities. To start, our server forgot to take one of our groups orders, walking away before we could correct the problem. Our food was cold, and the Parmesan chicken sliders that I ordered were lackluster, replicating the flavors of an overdone, street alley chicken on a stick. On top if that, it took much longer than expected to receive our drinks, and when she brought the wrong drink to one of the group members, it took another ten minutes for her to bring the correct drink. As we might return for drinks, we will not be returning to enjoy the food.

Great atmosphere. Been here twice food takes a long time. Been here 50 min still waiting on food. They told me I should plan better next time.

Went for the St Patrick's Day "celebration". Besides the fact that there were 3 tables the entire morning- it was pretty much a let down. Our server Liza was the only saving grace. She made sure our drinks were full and we were taken care of. The kitchen manager came out at the end and was very accommodating. Told us more about the food then the staff had while we were actually eating. Have been here several times before and have not been impressed. Service is unbelievably slow. Food is subpar. Frustrating, because we want so bad to like this place. Coming from nashville where the bar Louie is so trendy and fun: this is such a disappointment. Keep going back hoping they've improved with time. Except for the atmosphere, not much going for them. I'm pretty sure we're done with giving them a chance.

Friendly people and decent beer selection food however... I had an item called the Buffalo chicken flat bread. The taste seemed a bit off but I was able to eat a few pieces of it. About three hours later I was hugging a toilet for the remainder of the night. Needless to say that I don't believe I'll be back.
(2)Audrey B.
Not impressed! Went there on a Saturday night - so it was packed - Super super slow service which is smart to have people ordering more drinks before the food arrives....the waiters are good at making sure the glasses stay full But they are friendly too so thats ok. Beer on tap was nice - plenty of selection -its no brewery obviously so pretty good for a bar/ restaurant. When the food finally arrived easily after over 40 minutes - it was just ok - nothing to brag about. Pricey for what you get! If anything i will say good atmosphere, place, huge bar area with tables but small booths.... Its a good addition in the Springs though. Wont return but at least i tried it so i can comment about it...

Didn't have the food cause I wasn't hungry. The menu didn't have anything special or interesting that I wanted to try. Atmosphere was great though it could be quite busy for someone who is expecting to just chill. I didn't pay for any, and I only had one beer, but I heard it was pretty expensive. The service was great.
(3)Jennifer M.
Love the atmosphere but the service was horrible. We waited 20 minutes to to get our drink orders taken. It was a Sat afternoon and not crowded. I explained we were trying to catch a movie in one hour and that seem to irritate our waiter. We thought an hour and a half was enough time to eat before the movie but I guess not. When our food finally came all our meals were cold except my son's. My daughter & I decided to eat our cold food anyway but my husband told the waiter and he got annoyed and brought it back a few minutes later after he microwaved it. All is cold items like avacados, lettuce, and tomatoes were warped from the microwave. There was no apologies and when I asked if they did military discounts the waiter was rude and talked down to me as he explained they do not offer discounts. We ordered breakfast tacos, chicken tacos, chicken strips, and a hamburger. My son's food was pretty good the rest of our food was cold & overcooked. I spent $70 for less than desirable tasteing food. I would not go there again due to the lack of service, quality of food, and cost.

Today was my wife and I first time here and will probably go back and give dinner service a try; hopefully will have faster service than today's lunch service. Our lunch took about an hour and a half which is absolutely ridiculous! The place was pretty much empty but I will admit that I think there were only two servers working the lunch service and this is not their fault but the manager for not scheduling more waitresses if true. The food and atmosphere are great but the only other thing that kind of caught me off guard when I got the bill was the mixed drink my wife got. It was the coconut mint lemonade, a $9.50 one. Really?! Are we living in California now. It wasn't even a tall glass, it was a small half glass. Shaking my head...

The ONLY reason I am giving a second Star for this place is because of John our bartender. I have been in about 3-4 times and had the most horrible experience. The first time was when we met John, it was during the day time we were unable to stay for food the first time but returned a second to try out the food. My second visit I was so mad about my drink that I paid and left didn't get to the food. The third I noticed that most of the food options had some sort of spice added to it. I have a weak stomach with spice and the other bartender was not helpful in suggesting to put sauce on the side or give another option. The overall concept is beautiful and very comfortable even though you cannot lean back in the seats at the bar or bar area. Unless you know someone that works there don't expect much. John the bartender had changed my mind, I wish I knew what days he was in the bar he was not sure. I will say that if he isn't there I don't plan on staying, anyone else is basically a hassle unless like I said you know them personally.

Ok service. The food and manager won the one star and server bumped it up. We ordered a burger medium rare and blackened fish tacos. These simple items took over an half hour. The guy who ordered his food 10 minutes after us got his food 10 minutes before us. We asked for the manager and that took another 5 minutes. The food came before the manager and it was luke warm at best. None of the food was warm so I really don't know what took so long. I think that if it takes that long to cook it should probably come out hot! The manager said that they could reheat or take it off the bill. I then put the cold fish in his hand and told him that he could take it off the bill. He said that next time we come in he'll "take care" of us, but no gift card was given to us they are just going to "make a note of it". Yeah right! Oh and it was lunch time and maybe 5 tables sat.

The atmosphere is one of the best things Bar Louie has going for it. Beautiful, warm decor, and awesome patios with views (it's on the second floor of a large building). One of the better bars in Colorado Springs, although the drinks can be hit or miss. My favorite is the dirty martini, and my husband loves the Ruby, and most of the time it is great, but last time we were there, the drinks were awful. Still giving it a 4 though, as I think it was a fluke. We like the food too; it's a good step up from standard pub fare. Recommend it for a stop-off before or after a movie.
(4)Brittany V.
Great burger! Great appearance. Chilly indoors, slow service... Mediocre drinks and over priced outside of happy hour. Maybe after they've been open for a longer time, I'll go back... Hopefully it'll have better service soon.
(3)Marshall R.
Good beer selection and an attentive wait staff. Standard "bar fare" food fell short of expectations, especially the mussels which were atrocious. In all, a good place to grab a drink on a Saturday night, but definitely not a "go-to" alternative over the other food options in the area. Considering they just opened, they may work out the kinks in the future and will definitely give it another shot.
(3)Mike G.
We had great service and good selection on drinks. $5 hamburgers on Tuesday night!
(4)Mike R.
We're regulars now at bar Louie and will continue to be. But I want to give a real shoutout to Eric on the serving staff for his excellent service and and attentiveness. He brought a real personal connection and really made us feel welcome. Thanks for a great night Eric, hopefully we get you again!
(5)Mike T.
This place is a much needed addition to Powers. It feels like being in Denver on the 16th Street Mall; such a great location. The food was amazing and the service was great. I love their happy hour specials and the variety of drinks and brews on happy hour. I will most certainly be back!
(5)Susan C.
Love it! Great place to hang out after a movie. Or just skip the movie altogether. Extensive bar, excellent food and great atmosphere
(5)Chris H.
Has a good atmosphere for Colorado Springs, the menu is decent. I enjoy the spinach artichoke dip. I tend to go back although I have yet to have good service. This place has great potential if they could get some quality staff.
(3)Kurt C.
For an appetizer had a triple dip, the queso was really good. Entrees we had a Crispy Chicken Sandwich and the Steak Sandwich which were large portions and great tasting. Dessert had the chocolate cake which was good, but would like to try the Tennessee Whiskey Cake next time. Drinks were great and strong. Drinks were a little over priced. Overall, had a great experience. Will be going back!
(4)William D.
Bar Louie is probably a better place for drinking than for dining. On my one visit, the service was friendly but flawed (took too long for server to arrive and brought wrong entree at first before correcting). Our bruschetta appetizer was nice and fresh, with a large bowl of garlicky tomatoes and separate crostini for the diners to top for themselves. But it came with about half of the number of crostini that it should have. The waitress gladly brought more upon request, but they arrived with our entrees. The waitress recommended the panko sesame fish skewers with fried rice, and it was disappointing. The crust on the fish was thick and hard while the rice was so salty I didn't eat it. The atmosphere is great for a cocktail bar. Admittedly, as a 47 year-old business man, I am not in the target demographic for Bar Louie. Judging by my only experience, if you go there, stick to the apps and drinks.
(2)Caitlin G.
Great for a girls night out. I wish they took reservations (they told us for only parties of 8 or more). We had about a 30 minute wait on a Friday night. The mango margarita was good. Decent selection of beer on draft. The food was alright, nothing to write home about.
(4)Yvette C.
Loved this place! Tried it for the first time last night. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious!!! The atmosphere is great and I loved the whole place! I'm glad COS has a new restaurant that is actually worth going to. Excited I've found a new spot to hang out at!

This is actually a 0 star review! Holly crap. I have never had this bad service anywhere! 15 minutes on the patio, no service. Finally a girl says, have you been helped? I say not yet. She takes our order, all good right? Nope! Get a new waitress and honestly, this girl just wasn't all there if you know what I mean. After more friends arriving, no service again! We are watching every table around us get up and get there own drinks and condiments. Guess what, there were only four tables on the patio and maybe five tables inside. Yet there were plenty of staff!!! I asked to pay and gave her my card. Then she continued to serve other people and I tried flagging her down. Finally I got up, found her and asked for my card back. She actually said, how do I have your card in my apron? Seriously folks, she was actually unaware of how she got my card!!! Way over priced, worse service I have ever had, won't be back!
(1)S B.
Service, food & drinks all great! Not your standard bar food. Highly recommend Tempura Shrimp & the Bruschetta for appetizers; great presentation & very nice portions. Finally...a hip place for all ages on East side for anytime of the day!
(5)Marisa W.
Has a good atmosphere, but there is was no host or hostess at the entrance, nor was there a sign telling us to seat ourselves. We waited a few minutes and servers just kept walking past us. I made eye contact with one server several times and kept thinking she would send a host our way. Finally I asked her what the seating situation was and she told me it was open, but not before watchign us stand there looking silly for several minues. Our entres were tasty, (the seared tuna and the tuscan pasta), but the appetizers were not good. We got the mussels which tasted like a salt shaker had been poured over them and the trio dip plate with guac, queso and salsa. The queso dip definitely tasted like velveeta and had a film on top when it was brought to our table. The service was decent aside from the host situation and cocktails were good but 9.50/martini is a little steep. I probaby won't go back. It was pretty mediocre for a $95 ticket.
(2)Valerie C.

(3)Luke D.
A great place to relax and have a meal plus good drinks. The view and patio are awesome. They have a great menu and happy hour. The staff is very friendly also.
(4)Mila R.
Great atmosphere along with food and beverages. However, customer service can improve.
(1)ElizabethAnn B.
(2)Carroll H.
(2)Rob W.
(1)Jay W.

Been twice. Thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt for the 2nd time. Both visits were terrible. Service was slow and food prices were very high for mediocre quality.
(3)Jessica C.

(1)Stephanie M.
(4)Roger T.
(4)Sarah S.
(5)Larry L.
(2)Heather S.

(4)Laura C.
The atmosphere is great, a very Denver style type establishment. Whatever you do...stay away from the red headed bartender, she's not happy with her job, actually the whole bar staff is pretty bad.
(1)Audrey B.
(2)Hailey D.
(3)Leanna E.
(3)Matt M.
(3)Susan C.
(5)matthew s.

The atmosphere was amazing and not at all what I was expecting. Seemed really laid back and a nice place to just hang out. Would love to come back on a nice day and enjoy some drinks on their patios.

Been twice. Thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt for the 2nd time. Both visits were terrible. Service was slow and food prices were very high for mediocre quality.
(1)Elaine M.

Every drink I tried during my visit was great! The server was attentive, polite, friendly, funny and helpful! It's a nice atmosphere and will definitely be back.
(4)Leanna E.

(2)Carroll H.
(5)Batgirl R.
(2)Mekailah H.
(2)Rob W.

(1)Jay W.
(3)Doug B.
Quickly became my favorite bar and restaurant. Food is amazing and drinks/service very standard.
(5)Ally K.
(3)Daniel Q.
(2)Hailey D.
(1)Erik D.
(1)Trish T.
(4)Lonnie C.
Great atmosphere. Been here twice food takes a long time. Been here 50 min still waiting on food. They told me I should plan better next time.
(2)Fernando C.
(3)Charlie D.
(2)Jessi B.
(2)Jenny B.

Service, food & drinks all great! Not your standard bar food. Highly recommend Tempura Shrimp & the Bruschetta for appetizers; great presentation & very nice portions. Finally...a hip place for all ages on East side for anytime of the day!
